When I first created this piece I nearly abandoned it as it wasn't working at all for me. But I persevered and tweaked a few thing here and there, like giving him the mace and changing his hair from short to long and in the end it came together, I hope you'll agree. I did consider giving him some chain mail and while it probably would have looked good I ditched it due to the thought of illustrating all those links.
